Utilities

The Town of Bowden is responsible for the provision and delivery of water, wastewater, and waste collection services.

These services are regulated and tested in accordance with Alberta Government enactment and codes of practice.

Provision of Utility Services

New residents must register with the Town to set up a utility services account that covers water, wastewater, recycling, and garbage collection.

Utility bills are sent out monthly by mail for the services provided during the previous month.

This combined utility bill covers, water usage (actual consumption and flat rate), sewer charges (calculated and flat rate) residential garbage collection (flat rate) and the residential recycling fee (flat rate).

Payments must be made before the Penalty Due Date otherwise a late payment fee may apply in accordance with the Town's Rates & Fees Bylaw.

Please note that requests from residents for water service disconnection can only be made with the consent of the property owner.
