Current status (June 2025)
Approval of the land annexation has been given by both Red Deer County Council and the Town of Bowden Council.
The Negotiation Report was submitted in 2024 to the Land & Property Rights Tribunal (LPRT) requesting that the annexation receives Alberta Government approval.
Adjoining landowners were notified by LPRT of the proposed land annexation.
An objection to the annexation has been received by LPRT.
This now requires a public hearing as legislated by the Municipal Government Act.
The date of the public hearing will be July 15, 2025 at 9:00am.
The hearing will be conducted by WebEx.
